Caring for your children since 1988
Acorns Nurseries A woman and a child in a garden share a beautiful partnership; the child is watering plants with a yellow watering can.

Partnership with
Parents

We believe that parents and staff need to work together in a close partnership in order for children to receive the quality of care and early learning to meet their individual needs.

Acorns Nurseries In the comfort of their home yard, an adult captures a photo of two children eagerly examining the ground with magnifying glasses, surrounded by trees and a sturdy fence.

We welcome parents as partners and support a two way sharing of information that helps establish trust and understanding.

We maintain a personalised record of every child’s development through the use of a digital learning journal, showing their abilities, progress, interests and next steps for learning to include any areas needing further staff or parental assistance.

Parents are able to access the app and are encouraged to contribute achievements, interests and developmental progress at home. Regular Parents’ Evenings are planned throughout the year and provide an opportunity for parents and key carers to have an informal chat about their child’s development
